Fabrizio Romano Transfer News: Dele Alli To Train With Como 1907

The latest Fabrizio Romano transfer news has confirmed that Dele Alli will start training with Como 1907 later this month.

Alli has been without a club since his contract with Everton expired in June 2024. The former England star continued to work with the Merseysiders medical staff throughout the summer.

Prior to his spell with the Toffees, Alli was one of the finest players in the world during his Tottenham Hotspur days. In the Premier League, he netted 51 times in 181 appearances.

In all competitions for the north Londoners, he scored an impressive 67 goals in 269 outings. The 28-year-old was widely tipped to go on to play for some of the continents biggest clubs.

However, an alarming dip in form coupled with a variety of personal problems stunted Alli’s rise to the very top. Now, the former MK Dons star has been presented an opportunity to get back to doing what he does best.

Fabrizio Romano Transfer News Confirms Dele Alli Will Train With Como

Reputable transfer guru Fabrizio Romano posted on Monday on his official X (formerly Twitter) page that Dele Alli would start training with Como 1907.

Interestingly, the Serie A side are managed by former Arsenal and Barcelona legend Cesc Fabregas. The Spaniard already has the likes of Pepe Reina, Sergi Roberto and Nico Paz in his squad.

Fabregas was the recipient of a number of trophies during his playing day. At club level, he won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, La Liga, Copa del Rey, Europa League, Super Cup and Club World Cup.

For Spain, he was part of the La Roja side that won two UEFA European Championship titles either side of the FIFA World Cup. A serial winner on the pitch, Fabregas could be the perfect manager to get Alli back up to speed.

However, the 37-year-old insisted that Alli would only train with the club in a bid to get fit. He is due to start working with the Italian side from Boxing Day.

Perhaps there’s a chance he will start training with us after Christmas. It would be to help him get in shape and nothing more,” Fabregas explained.

However, Romano suggested that there could be a possibility that Alli could earn himself a short-term deal with the Serie A strugglers. Depending on performances in training, of course.

Meanwhile, Alli’s former club Tottenham are in EFL Cup quarter-final action on Thursday. The north Londoners are the slight 11/8 match favourites to beat Manchester United – according to the best football betting sites in the UK.
