Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy must prioritise four deals in Antonio Conte's Tottenham vision

Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte have plenty to do at Tottenham this summer as they look to put together a squad capable of challenging towards the top of the Premier League. Following two poor seasons in north London with the Lilywhites missing out on a top-four finish, Spurs secured a return to the Champions League on the final day of the 2021/22 campaign as Conte completed a remarkable turnaround with the team struggling at the time of his appointment in November.

Making a mark in the transfer market so far this summer with Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster joining on free transfers and highly-rated Yves Bissouma clinching a move from Brighton & Hove Albion, all eyes will be on Spurs to see what they do next in terms of incomings and outgoings. Tottenham can also start planning for the future by ensuring that a number of their current squad are tied down to long-term contracts in the capital.

So who exactly should Paratici, Conte and Daniel Levy be prioritising new contracts for in the months ahead? football.london takes a look.

Harry Kane

Twelve months ago it appeared that Kane would be on his way out of Tottenham with Man City tipped to clinch a big-money deal for the England captain. A move to the Etihad Stadium never happened and now things appear much brighter for Kane at Spurs following the appointment of Conte as boss and their return to the Champions League.

The frontman will have been impressed by Tottenham's movement in the transfer market this summer and the key will be to carry on in exactly the same fashion to convince him that Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the place for him to be over the coming years. With such a feel-good factor at the club at present, it could go up several notches if Kane pens fresh terms and signs on beyond 2024.

Eric Dier

Dier's contract is also due to expire in the summer of 2024 as things stand after last signing a deal in July 2020. Such an important member of Conte's backline and a player he can rely on, it makes total sense to open discussions over new terms sooner rather than later.

The 28-year-old is first-choice in the central role in Conte's back three, and the head coach does believe he can go on to become one of the world's best in his position. Given how vital he is to Tottenham at the back, fans will be hoping a new deal is in the pipeline sooner rather than later.

Troy Parrott

After two very frustrating loan spells at Millwall and Ipswich Town, Parrott had a season to remember at MK Dons as he rediscovered his top form in front of goal. Conte and his coaching staff will take a good look at him during pre-season but another loan move away, ideally in the Championship, would suffice as the Republic of Ireland international looks to keep up his recent progress.

Parrott's current Spurs deal is due to expire in 2023, although the club do tend to have the option in a number of their youngsters' contracts to extend it by a further 12 months. It's something Paratici and the club need to look at because the striker could be ready to compete for a spot in the Spurs squad this time next year if he enjoys another successful loan spell.

Antonio Conte

Amid some doubts over whether Conte would be in charge of Spurs in 2022/23, Tottenham can now plan for the future with the Italian at the helm after a positive meeting with Paratici and Levy at the end of the season. Signing an 18-month deal with the club last November, Spurs do have the option to extend his contract if they so wish.

Tottenham are going places under Conte and all connected with the club will be hoping that the ex-Italy manager sticks about for a long time. There's so much positivity at the club at present and Conte signing a new long-term deal this summer would be music to the ears of all Tottenham fans.
