Fabio Carvalho makes instant impact as Liverpool summer signing continues to shine

Liverpool midfielder Fabio Carvalho made an instant impact for Portugal Under-21s during their 9-0 victory over Liechtenstein on Tuesday evening.

Competing in qualification matches for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, the 19-year-old was introduced from the bench in the 77th minute of the match and managed to get on the scoresheet just one minute later.

Portugal currently sit top in Group D and have already qualified for next year's tournament, having so far won eight of their nine fixtures. Their final group game will be played on Saturday night when they take on second-placed Greece.
