RB Leipzig reportedly had a bid of just over £10 million rejected by Liverpool for young star Fabio Carvalho and the Bundesliga club are said to remain interested in the midfielder.
Liverpool pushed hard to sign Carvalho in January 2022, but had to wait for a deal to be struck in the following summer after missing the transfer deadline.
Despite a promising start to life at Anfield, the Portugal Under-21 international played just 11 minutes in the Premier League after football returned following the end of the World Cup in December.

Although Carvalho was largely left out of Jurgen Klopp's squad for the second half of the season, he still sees talent and potential in the 20-year-old.
However, the former Fulham talent wants game time as Liverpool remain open to a temporary move, but it has been reported Carvalho would be against this.
Sky Sports Germany's Philipp Hinze claimed: "Yes, €12m offer from RB Leipzig for Fabio Carvalho has been rejected by Liverpool. LFC see great potential in the 20-year-old Portuguese. They would like to loan him out or sell him with a buy-back option. Exciting as a challenger for Leipzig's squad. Interest is still there."
