Fabinho believes Ibrahima Konate's recent performances have shown why Liverpool were so keen to sign him and explained the importance of him playing alongside Virgil van Dijk or Joel Matip.
Konate was L iverpool’s only major signing of the summer, joining the Reds in a £36million deal from RB Leipzig, as the Anfield club beat off competition from a host of clubs to secure the defender's signature.
The French under-21 international made his Reds debut back in September as he helped his side keep a clean sheet in a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Since then, Konate has made 10 more appearances in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side, with the most recent coming in the 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Arsenal at the Emirates.
Konate has partnered both Matip and Van Dijk so far this season, and Fabinho believes the Frenchman will only learn from having experienced players alongside him.
“He’s playing really good. When he has the chance to play, he always shows why Liverpool wanted him because he always plays really good,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.
“The Premier League is not an easy league to play as a centre-half. He’s young but he's showing the experience he has.
“He’s strong, he’s fast, so he has the style of the league. He always plays with Joel Matip or Virgil, so it’s important for him as well to have an experienced player by his side.”
