FA Cup semi-finals dates & times as Man United face Brighton and Man City play Sheffield United

Confirmation of who will be making the journey to Wembley for the FA Cup semi-finals has taken place this weekend as the remaining eight teams battled in the competition's quarter-final stage.

Brighton & Hove Albion comfortably ended League Two outfit Grimsby Town's FA Cup dream this afternoon before the semi-final draw took place, and for their achievements have been handed a meeting with the winner of Manchester United.

Manchester City, who comfortably defeated Vincent Kompany's Burnley 6-0 on home soil in the latest round, have been handed another Championship test in the shape of Sheffield United.

It will have to be seen if the Cityzens allow Tommy Doyle, who scored the Blades' quarter-final stoppage-time winner against Blackburn Rovers, and teammate James McAtee to play against their parent club in the second semi-final, in a predicament similar to Conor Gallagher's with Chelsea and Crystal Palace last season.

These fixtures will be squeezed into the campaign's run-in next month, and Football.London can provide all the details known so far.

When will the FA Cup semi-finals take place?

The FA have lined up Saturday 22nd April and Sunday 23rd April as the dates for this season's semi-finals to take place. There is no confirmation of which fixture will take place on what day at this stage, and therefore no times have been confirmed either.

Last season these fixtures were given mid-afternoon time slots, for example City vs Liverpool got underway at 3:30pm and Chelsea vs Palace kicked off at 4:30pm.

FA Cup semi-finals have also been known to occur later in the evening. In 2021 the kick-off times of each were 5:30pm and 6:30pm, however the FA have received scrutiny in the past from northern teams and their supporters - for which their could potentially be three sets of descending on the capital this time around - attempting to traverse public transport.

Additionally, as rights holders to the competition, BBC and ITV will share television coverage of the semi-finals. The broadcasters are expected to confirm their schedules in the near future also.

Football.London will be on hand to provide details as soon as specific kick-off times are announced.
