FA Cup semi-final draw in full with Man City favourites ahead of Wembley showdowns

Manchester City will face Sheffield United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup at Wembley as a reward for thrashing Burnley on Saturday, while Manchester United will take on Brighton.

Pep Guardiola's men ran riot at the Etihad Stadium to book their place in the last four for the fifth successive season with a 6-0 win over Vincent Kompany's Burnley. Erling Haaland struck his sixth hat-trick of the campaign while a Julian Alvaraz brace and Cole Palmer's strike sealed a convincing victory.

Despite reaching Wembley in the four previous FA Cup campaigns, City have won the competition just once in that time. That came back in 2019 when they hammered Watford 6-0 in the final.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United booked their place in the semi-finals with a dramatic 3-2 win over Blackburn at Bramall Lane in the early kick-off on Sunday. Rovers took the lead through Ben Brereton Diaz before Sam Gallagher's own-goal brought the home side level.

In a frantic second half, Blackburn retook the lead as Sammie Szmodics lashed home - but the tie was not over there as Paul Heckingbottom's side launched an impressive comeback. Ollie McBurnie equalised with a fine strike, before Manchester City loanee Tommy Doyle won it for the Blades with a 25-yard wonderstrike.

Erik ten Hag's United are aiming for a domestic cup double after they lifted the Carabao Cup last month, beating Newcastle at Wembley.

The beat Fulham in a controversial quarter-final at Old Trafford on Sunday which turned in 60 second-half seconds when Fulham saw TWO players sent off - as well as boss Marco Silva.

The Cottagers led through Aleksandar Mitrovic's opener, but when Willian handled on the goalline and referee Chris Kavanagh was sent to review the footage of the incident, he had little choice but to dismiss the Brazilian. Mitrovic barged the official and duly was sent off too, while Silva was also dismissed for something he said as Kavanagh looked at the footage and consulted with VAR.

Ties for the semi-finals of the FA Cup will take place at Wembley on the weekend of Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23.
