The Football Association have condemned offensive chanting from Manchester City supporters at Anfield on Sunday, and have offered complete support to Liverpool regarding the incident.
Liverpool issued a strongly-worded statement after beating City in Sunday's Premier League fixture, claiming 'vile chants relating to football stadium tragedies' were heard from the away section at Anfield. They also claimed the away concourse was vandalised with graffiti of a similar nature.
Following the game, City manager Pep Guardiola alleged that coins were thrown at him after the Blues had a Phil Foden goal ruled out after a VAR review, with Liverpool vowing to ban any supporters found guilty of throwing coins for life.
