F1 Miami Grand Prix: Race start time UK, qualifying results and how can I watch on TV today?

The inaugural Miami Grand Prix takes place today, with Charles Leclerc hoping to extend his championship lead over Max Verstappen in Florida.

The Monégasque driver leads from pole just ahead of Ferrari team-mate Carlos Sainz, with defending champion Verstappen and Sergio Perez following behind for Red Bull.

Cracking the Stateside market has been an amibition of F1 bosses for decades and this trip to a purpose-built track around Hard Rock Stadium promises to be the next step in that pursuit.

The 5.4km circuit features a short start/finish straight before a set of medium-speed corners through sector one, ahead of a long, sweeping back straight into a tight and technical end to sector two. The final sector features a drag through the second of three DRS zones before a hairpin back to the start.

Along with the glamorous location, there is plenty of intrigue around who will fare best through 57 laps on Sunday evening.
