Max Verstappen won the 2022 Formula One Drivers’ Championship after winning the Japanese Grand Prix.
A rain-hit race appared to have led to reduced points being dished out at Suzuka, with Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez completing the podium. However, it was deemed that full points could be awarded despite only just over 50 per cent of the race completed.
Esteban Ocon and Lewis Hamilton finished in the top five while Sebastian Vettel and Nicholas Latifi took good points finishes.
