Max Verstappen nudged clear of Charles Leclerc in the Formula One Drivers’ Championship despite both failing to win the Monaco Grand Prix.
Sergio Perez led Carlos Sainz across the line after a chaotic race on Sunday, which saw a big crash, two red flags and plenty of rain.
Verstappen took the final step on the podium ahead of Leclerc, before George Russell finished fifth for Mercedes and Lando Norris taking fastest lap in sixth. Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton , Valtteri Bottas and Sebastian Vettel also took home points.
The race was timed out of reaching the full 77 laps yet did pass three-quarters distance, enabling full points to be handed out.
