Carlos Sainz won his first F1 race at the British Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen’s nightmare was eased somewhat by Charles Leclerc only finishing three places ahead, in fourth, as he kept his healthy lead in the 2022 Drivers’ Championship.
George Russell’s DNF ended his long run of top-five finishes to start the season while Lewis Hamilton finished on the podium.
There was also a first points finish for Mick Schumacher in the Haas.
