Extreme body modification enthusiast gets pentagram implanted into her hand

A popular TikToker who focuses on extreme body modification has spent $10,000 (£8,800) on procedures including getting a plastic pentagram implanted into her hand.

Dez Firefly, 28, from Pasadena, California, in the US, is a body modification enthusiast and often goes under the knife for strange procedures.

As well as getting an implant in her hand, Dez has also had her tongue split in half and had a coin split in her ears, plus multiple tattoos.

A video showing off her latest modification has racked up over 11.6 million views and 1.1 million likes on TikTok.

According to Dez, who is a body piercing apprentice and currently lives in Las Vegas, the implant was actually the easiest procedure she's had done.

"It doesn’t move around and it feels completely normal," she told NeedToKnow.online.

"It’s essentially similar to getting breast implants!

"My pentacle hand implant was installed roughly three months ago, so far being one of my easiest body mods!

"The first few days I had some swelling but nothing major. It didn’t effect mobility or my ability to use my hand at all.

"Lots of people have been asking if I can feel it under my skin and the answer is no!

"The material is just hard silicone so it’s completely safe and can be removed whenever I want it to be!

She added: "I wanted to get it done because I liked the look of it, there are no alternate intentions behind it!"

At the start of the video, you see the plastic pentagram resting on top of Dez's hand, just before it is placed into her skin.

In the next clip, we see her hand just after the procedure including the stitched-up cut, made to insert the mould.

This is then followed by a montage of clips illustrating the healing process, before viewers get a final reveal of the finished product.

TikTok users have mixed opinions about the "painful"-looking procedure, with many put off by having something permanently under their skin.

"Dude I can’t do things under my skin.. I’d go insane," wrote one user.

"It’s cool but I feel like I would cringe if I thought about that in my hand for too long," said someone else.

Someone else said: "My sensory issues would cut it out with kitchen scissors at 4am."

But others were impressed by it.

"So cool I'd definitely do this," added someone else.

"I would for sure knock this against something and my soul would leave my body," joked another user.

Although the implant may look painful, Dez says the tongue split caused her the most pain, describing the procedure as "awful" and "not for the faint-hearted".

She currently has no plans to undergo any future procedures, but still wants to raise awareness on body modification.

She added: "I don’t believe I plan on getting much more done as far as extreme body modifications go, possibly some scarification in the future, but I’m not sure what!

"I would just like to say that everyone does things to themselves that make them happy for them.

"At the end of the day the only opinion that matters is your own."
