A beautiful regional retreat 30 minutes from Canberra has just hit the market.
Known as Blakely Ridge, 840 Marked Tree Road, Gundaroo, was fully renovated in 2023.
The house includes four bedrooms and four bathrooms, in addition to a 25-bed bunkhouse ideal for large family gatherings or sport clubs.
There is a wine cellar, games room, and a chef's kitchen complete with dolamite stone.
A $20,000 oven and $40,000 fire place - both installed last year - will ensure the next owner can cater well to a full house.
"We weren't ever intending on flipping it, so it's got features you wouldn't put in a house that you were just planning to get rid of," owner Jess Arena said.
Ms Arena and her team have brought Canberra some of its favourite bars, including Cabo, Molly, Highball and 88mph, which
She said her eye for design had translated to a high-end weekender, ready for another owner to enjoy.
"Whilst it is different to what we are doing with the bars, we know how to set things up for people to have an enjoyable experience.
"Everything has been been built with an experience in mind," Ms Arena said.
"It has been done to a really great standard."
A large deck wraps half of the north-facing house, ensuring you can enjoy warmth and bush views year-round.
A fireplace in the open-plan living room helps achieve this in winter.
Set on 50 hectares, the property includes a professionally-designed, 3.5 kilometre-long mountain bike track.
Selling agent David Medina of Sotheby's International Realty said there was ample space for helicopters to land and a small, retired airstrip that may be able to be restored.
"The property really does tick a lot of boxes," he said.
"The floorplan and what the [property] offers is completely unique. There's so much versatility in this."
Ms Arena hopes the location will be a place of tranquility for the next owner - whether as a weekender or for the Canberra commute - much like it has been for her.
"It is just a really beautiful, close escape to the country which I think is what a lot of people need and want given the stresses in life.
"We have had Christmas out there with [our whole family]. It is great for some non-screen time family action," Ms Arena said.
The property has been popular on Airbnb when not in use by the owners, which Ms Arena said would be a drawcard in selling.
"If someone wants it for that purpose, we will sell it as a fully-functioning Airbnb with all the linen and furniture," she said.
840 Marked Tree Road, Gundaroo, will go to auction out of Homely Auction House in Sydney on September 2.
The auction guide for the property is $2.5 million.
"The location is paramount," Mr Medina said.
"[The buyer] will be someone who is after something exquisite and extraordinary," he said.
