Two predawn explosions occurred in the vicinity of the Israeli Embassy in Copenhagen, Denmark, early Wednesday morning. The blasts, which took place around 3:20 a.m., led to the closure of the nearby Jewish school for the day. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the explosions.

Authorities are currently investigating whether there is a link between the blasts and the Israeli diplomatic mission, which is situated close to several other embassies in the area. Police have not disclosed any information regarding potential arrests in relation to the incident.

Following the explosions, heavily armed officers, search dogs, and forensic teams were deployed to the scene to inspect the area, which had been cordoned off for security reasons.

The Jewish school, Carolineskolen, located near the embassy, had already planned to close for the Jewish New Year holidays on Thursday and Friday. Additionally, extra security measures will be implemented around the main synagogue in downtown Copenhagen, as stated by the Jewish community.

Denmark's Justice Minister described the incident as 'inherently serious,' emphasizing that it was too early to determine a motive for the explosions. A similar incident occurred in Stockholm, where the Israeli Embassy was reportedly hit by bullets, prompting a closure of the area around the embassy.

Swedish authorities found a weapon and an empty shell casing near the embassy in Stockholm but did not provide further details. The Swedish domestic security agency confirmed that they were not conducting a preliminary investigation and referred the matter to the ordinary police.

In light of these events, officials have urged the public to exercise caution in public spaces and to remain vigilant against misinformation on social media. Despite the incidents, there is no indication to avoid participating in Jewish community activities.

These recent incidents follow a previous security scare at the Israeli Embassy in Stockholm, where a hand grenade was discovered on the premises in late January. The Justice Minister of Sweden expressed concern over the shooting at the embassy in Stockholm and the events in Copenhagen, emphasizing the seriousness of the situations.
