St Enoch Square's Christmas market has been cordoned off by police after an explosion this morning, with two people taken to hospital.
A gas canister exploded in the busy city centre area at around 11am this morning with the area remaining cordoned off while police investigate.
Police, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service are currently in attendance and two people have been rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a result.

An eyewitness told Glasgow Live: "It was one of the shipping containers at the Chinese foodstall. The doors blew open on it. It was full of gas bottles so must have been leaking gas into the container and blew.
"Two girls were standing at the doors of it when it happened. Sirens came pretty quickly and first aiders were with the then hysterical girls so I left before the area was cordoned off."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of an explosion involving a gas canister at St Enoch Square in Glasgow around 11am on Monday, 5 December.
“Emergency services are currently at the scene and the area has been closed off while work is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were called to assist emergency service partners around 11am on Monday, 5 December to reports of a gas explosion within the Christmas Market at St Enoch Square, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene.
"Two casualties were handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 11am to attend an incident at St Enoch Square, Glasgow. We dispatched two ambulances to the scene and two patients were conveyed to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”
