Explorer stumbles on dental clinic abandoned for 20 years - with grim dentures and tools

An urban explorer has discovered an abandoned dental clinic complete with decades-old denture casts and clinical tools 20 years, after the owner "locked the door and never returned".

One macabre image shows an unsettling display of casts from clients' mouths, gathering dust and cobwebs as they lay abandoned on a shelf.

Another snap shows a collection of large photographs of smiles, discarded and scattered around the floor.

The creepy shots were taken by urbex photographer Abandoned Southeast in Birmingham, Alabama.

The dental practice was abandoned in the early 2000s.

In the decades following, parts of the roof began to collapse, leaving the building in a state of disrepair.

"For decades, this small family-owned dental clinic served the local community in Birmingham, Alabama," the photographer said.

"After retiring, it appears the dentist locked the door and never returned."

Earlier this week, another urban explorer captured eerie footage of the untouched contents of a creepy polo club abandoned in 1996.

The intriguing clip was filmed by urban explorer Dax Ward after he was informed about the mysterious location by another photographer friend.

The 40-year-old, from Arkansas, USA, visited the Garden City Polo Club in Bangkok, Thailand, last month.

He shared ominous images and video from his time exploring the formerly prestigious club.

The computer scientist said: “I’m continually looking for unusual abandoned places to document.

“I’ve explored a few other athletic event facilities, including a baseballs stadium in the US, but this was the first polo club I’ve ever been to, either defunct or active."
