A surge in Covid cases could be down to the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend as an expert warns infections will likely continue until the autumn.
Dr Simon Clarke, Associate Professor in Cellular Microbiology, University of Reading, said any surge could have been boosted by the four-day weekend celebrations, The Mirror reports.
Particularly because people were off work and the average home is more densely populated than the average workplace.
