NAGPUR: Tech-driven businesses have only created more jobs and increased consumption unlike the common belief that they are leaving many jobless, according to Sadashiv Nayak, ex-CEO of Future Retail Limited. “Due to technology, more people are getting direct and indirect employment,” he said while speaking to the media at Institute of Management Technology (IMT), in Katol, on Wednesday.
“In retail, online proved as a medium for customers. Its an omni channel world now. Food delivery didn’t totally stop fine dining. Technology has only given one more reason to consume more. Initially, some were disturbed. So more jobs are going to come in the country,” he said.
