Irish holidaymakers departing Dublin Airport at certain times in recent weeks have reported "chaotic" scenes and long delays.
People arriving at the terminals for early morning flights have faced huge delays in getting through security, with some missing flights over the issue.
Daa, who oversees Dublin Airport, said the "shortage of security screening staff is the key contributory factor to the current difficulties".
