
July NY world sugar #11 (SBN25) Wednesday closed down -0.16 (-0.88%), and August London ICE white sugar #5 (SWQ25) closed down -5.90 (-1.16%).
Sugar prices were under pressure Wednesday and settled lower on expectations for a global sugar surplus. Consultant Datagro said Wednesday that it projects a 2025/26 global sugar surplus of +1.53 MMT, recovering sharply from a 2024/25 global sugar deficit of -4.67 MMT.
