Georgia sets execution date for man convicted of killing two real estate agents

Authorities in Georgia intend to execute a man next month following his conviction for the fatal shootings of two Atlanta real estate agents over two decades ago.

Stacey Humphreys, 53, was convicted of malice murder in the 2003 slayings of 33-year-old Cynthia “Cyndi” Williams and 21-year-old Lori Brown. According to the Department of Corrections, he is scheduled to receive a lethal injection at the state prison near Jackson at 7 p.m. on Sept. 16.
