Exclusive: Chelsea youngster Bryan Fiabema set for Forest Green loan as Blues sanction flurry of late moves

Chelsea academy striker Bryan Fiabema has agreed on a season-long loan move to Forest Green after his spell at Rosenborg was cut short.

The 19-year-old Norway youth international is travelling for his medical to join the League One club before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.

It follows an underwhelming spell in the Norwegian top flight, but the youngster still managed two goals and two assists in 13 games since moving on his first loan to taste men’s football in January.

Much is still hoped of the striker who was signed from Tromso in 2020 for around £500,000.

It’s one of a series of loan moves for the club’s younger players that are overseen by academy director Neil Bath.

Ethan Ampadu is in Italy completing a temporary move to Serie A side Spezia, while full back Dujon Sterling is having a medical a Stoke City ahead of a season-long loan deal.

Xavier Simons’s loan move to Hull City has been announced, striker Jayden Wareham is in advanced talks with Leyton Orient over a similar move and attacking midfielder Joe Haigh will be joining Derby County on loan.

Elsehwere, Xavier Mbuyamba has left on a permanent deal to FC Volendam and signed a three-year deal.

A loan move for Chelsea full back Dylan Williams has been muted but he is likely to stay at the club.
