Bristol Rovers have completed the free transfer signing of Scott Sinclair, 17 years after the former Gas prodigy left the Mem for Premier League Chelsea.
Sinclair is available on a free transfer after leaving Championship side Preston North End at the end of last season and is keen to prolong his professional career into a 18th season having made 508 appearances in England and Scotland. He's spent the last two weeks training at The Quarters as Joey Barton ran the rule over the winger's fitness which is said to be excellent.
The Rovers manager last month spoke of early conversations with a prospective free agent and that individual was Sinclair, who still has a home in Bath. Those initial talks stalled but circumstances changed in recent weeks and the winger has become Barton's 11th new signing of the 2022/23 season.
