Ayaz Khan is all set to embrace fatherhood. His wife, Jannat, is due in late December or early next year. Talking about preparing to assume a new role on the personal front, the Dill Mill Gayye actor says, “There is no way you can plan anything. I am taking it one day at a time. The more the baby grows, the more our bond strengthens. Jannat has been a great support and we are a team. I am thrilled about the idea of becoming a father soon (smiles).”
The two will become parents almost five years after their marriage in March 2018. Ask him if they had planned to know each other better before they took the next step and he replies, “Jannat and I had an arranged marriage. So, we decided to spend the first few years in knowing each other better and developing our bond and friendship. The pandemic took away two years and we didn’t want to plan anything around that time, as visiting hospitals would have been a risky proposition. We obviously wanted a baby, but we weren’t thinking about it actively. In fact, a day before discovering that we were pregnant, we were discussing taking some time off and travelling (laughs!). Everything happens at the right time.”
