Manchester United prospect Amad Diallo has rediscovered the confidence needed to succeed at the highest level following his loan spell at Sunderland.
That's the view of Black Cats' sporting director Kristjaan Speakman. Amad has spent the campaign in the Championship at the Stadium of Light. It was a successful spell for the 20-year-old who scored 14 goals in 42 games in all competitions as Tony Mowbray's side reached the Championship play-offs.
The season ultimately ended on a disappointing note as Sunderland lost out in the semi-finals to Luton Town as their hopes of a Premier League return were dashed. The Hatters have gone on to make it to the top flight after a penalty shootout win at Wembley over Coventry City on Saturday.
