Anyone who has ever dreamed of owning their own stretch of private beach could be in look as an opportunity has arisen.
A stretch of beach in Ingoldmells is up for sale for almost £50,000 and its current owner says this is a 'rare opportunity to join an exclusive club' of beach owners.
The beach covers 17 acres of land and it will set back anyone interested in buying the beach £49,500.
It is currently owned by Simon Adderley, 57, a Sutton-on-Sea born and bred beach enthusiast who says he has loved owning the beach but admits that the time has come to pass it on to someone else.
He bought it around 15 years ago and says beaches going up for sale is not a common occurrence, which has sparked around 250 people to enquire, Lincolnshire Live reports.
"We built Joe's Beach Bar and bought the attractions there," he said but has now sold the pub and parts of the foreshore.
He added: "There are a lot of people who are passionate about beaches and we want to give someone an opportunity to own one.
"It's an exceptionally rare opportunity."
Simon said it is not much of a money-maker, but instead the chance to fulfil a life-long dream. He said there could be a way of building something small, with the correct permissions, "but there's no commercial aspect to it."
He said it is more of a personal opportunity for someone who has always wanted to own a beach to do so and it is a chance for them to "join an exclusive club" of private beach owners.
Simon estimates that there are 20 or 30 private beaches in the UK but admits there could be even less.
Alongside the 250 people who have already enquired about the beach, the National Trust has also expressed an interest.
He says maintaining the beach is not a problem due to government schemes to keep beaches clean and safe.
"The Environment Agency maintains it as part of National Sea Defences and beach renourishment is part of that scheme," Simon said.
"I loved owning a beach. It's been a real pleasure."
