We are yet to see flurries of the white stuff in Glasgow this year, but the wait may be over soon.
The Met Office has forecast snow in the coming days, with blizzard like conditions set to arrive across the UK. An artic blast blowing in from the east is expected to bring temperatures as low as minus eight degrees overnight on Wednesday and into Thursday in some parts of the country.
Temperatures are to fall well below freezing across Glasgow, with lows of -4 degrees and highs of just 1 degrees from Thursday through to Sunday.

When will it snow in Glasgow?
The Met Office forecast predicts snow will fall throughout parts of the west coast by the end of this week.
Monday, December 5 to Friday December 9 forecast states: "Risk of wintry showers overnight into Thursday, and near the coast Thursday and Friday." As we move into the weekend, it is set to remain chilly with showers of sleet and snow expected.
Into Saturday and Sunday, the chances of snow moves mainly to the northern areas of Scotland, with the flurries likely to cover the high grounds.
In the latter part of the month as we reach the festive season, the Met Office forecast reads: "Any transition between the cold and mild conditions would bring a risk of rain, with sleet and snow especially over the hills."
Glasgow is the favourite city in the UK this year to experience a white Christmas. Bookmakers Coral has cut their odds from 6-4 to 4-5 for a white Christmas across the country, with Glasgow the favourite according to experts at OLBG.
