Zara is one of the most popular clothes shops in the UK, with customers loving how the brand keeps on top of fashion trends. If you've ever purchased from the retailer yourself, you may have noticed little symbols that appear on the labels of their clothing.
Fans of the clothing brand have spotted mysterious symbols on the labels of the clothing – a circle, triangle and square.
Entrepreneur and social media expert Amin Shaykho finally thought he had cracked what the 'secret codes' meant – but it turns out it's not as straight forward.
Amin, who posts under the TikTok account @aminshaykho, claimed the coding system has something to do with the sizing of the clothes.
Taking to TikTok, Amin explained: "Stop shopping at Zara until you know these secrets. Circle means it runs big, triangle means it runs small and square means true to size."
He added in the caption: "Zara has a secret code you should learn about when shopping."
This rumour has been swirling around for a while, but a former Zara employee took to the comment section to set the record straight, and it wasn't as simple as Amin had thought.
Ex employee Maya explained: "Ex employee... Circle=Zara woman, square=Zara basics, triangle=trf teenage collection."
However, they added that the "sizing hacks" are true, because as the triangle belongs to the teenage collection, it means it does runs small and if you're an adult you'd need to size up.
A spokesperson for Zara previously confirmed this to The Mirror, explaining that the different symbols represent the different areas of the store where the clothing belongs – the Woman, Basic or teenage collection.
