A Manchester United exit for Cristiano Ronaldo is still a possibility, a former teammate has admitted. Several reports have linked the superstar with a potential exit, with Bayern Munich and Chelsea being touted as interested clubs, though United have played down this speculation, stating that Ronaldo is not for sale.
Bruno Fernandes said he expects Ronaldo to join him in training, somewhat dismissing rumours that he could be off elsewhere. However, Louis Saha does not see the situation as straight-forward as that, while still believing the main man will be at Old Trafford next season.
“It could go both ways, no one can guarantee anything apart from Cristiano,” he told bonuscodebets. “He’s the only one to answer that.

“It wouldn’t be the right move for Man United to let him go because he’s such a big asset. I can definitely see him continuing to keep doing what he’s doing best, which is scoring goals and helping his club get back to where it belongs.”
Saha also outlined what he will bring to Erik ten Hag’s regime, aside from goals, and how he will be an important part of the Dutchman’s plans. He outlined how he can help boost the confidence of the seemingly downcast Marcus Rashford.
“Definitely (will play a big role). Not only by scoring goals, but with his stature. I’m sure the new manager will want to implement some new rules and new standards that fit with Ronaldo.
“Maybe not so much on the pressing side, but his work ethic and his desire to always be accountable. Performance-wise, Ronaldo is up there with the best, he’ll drive the players that need confidence, like Rashford.
“It’s a new manager, new rules, new atmosphere and I’m very excited.”
