Pecker revealed that the FBI first approached him in April 2018, conducting a search of his phone at his residence. While he could not recall the exact number of subsequent meetings with the FBI, he confirmed at least one such meeting took place.
When asked about the stressfulness of these encounters, Pecker mentioned that his attorney was present, providing him with a sense of reassurance.
During the questioning, Bove highlighted a potential inconsistency in Pecker's testimony. Pecker had previously testified that former President Trump expressed gratitude for suppressing a story about him fathering a child with a Trump Tower maid. However, notes presented by Bove indicated that Pecker had informed federal authorities that Trump did not convey any appreciation during the meeting.
Pecker stood by his courtroom statements, asserting that he was speaking the truth. He confidently stated, 'I know what the truth is.'
