Ex-St Mirren striker provides 'physical presence' for Motherwell in late signing

St Mirren Jon Obika Alan Burrows Motherwell Steven Hammell Fir Park Morecambe

Motherwell have signed former St Mirren striker Jon Obika on a loan deal from Morecambe for the rest of this season.

The 32-year-old scored 20 goals for the Paisley club in a spell from 2019 to 2021 and was a huge hit with fans.

Obika became the Fir Park club's third January deadline signing, and their seventh overall since capturing Shane Blaney from Sligo Rovers in December.
