- The arrest was in connection with an alleged breach of a non-harassment order.
- Hogg was subsequently released without charge by Police Scotland.
- He had previously admitted a domestic abuse charge in November 2024, involving shouting, swearing, tracking and sending distressing messages to his estranged wife, Gillian Hogg.
- Following this admission, he was sentenced in January 2025 to a community payback order and a five-year non-harassment order, and was recently stripped of his MBE.
