A former Republican representative for South Carolina, RJ May, has admitted in court to sending hundreds of videos depicting child sexual abuse to individuals across the country via social media.

Mr May pleaded guilty on Monday to what prosecutors described as a "five-day child pornography spree" in the spring of 2024.
