St Mirren boss Craig McLeish has confirmed the club’s interest in former Rangers defender Leon King, but admits a move is not currently a priority.

"Leon knows that, and I have spoken to him about that. Because of our budget constraints, we need to work on our priorities first and see where we are as the squad shapes up.

In total, King made 42 appearances in all competitions for Rangers during his six years involved in the first team.

As well as his aforementioned spell at Ayr United, he also spent time out on loan at Queen's Park last year.
