Ex-Rangers star labels club's recent transfer dealings as 'gross mismanagement'

Former Rangers player Andy Halliday has condemned the club's transfer dealings as "gross mismanagement."

This criticism comes after Rangers were knocked out of the Europa League by Jagiellonia Bialystok on Thursday night. The Ibrox club was held to a 1-1 draw at home, resulting in a 3-2 aggregate defeat.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Halliday said the defeat highlighted the imbalance in Rangers' squad. He said, "A gross level of mismanagement. At any football club, if you’ve signed 27 players in the space of 12 months, then you’ve got so many decisions wrong.

"The balance of Rangers’ squad at this moment in time, it’s quite incredible that they’ve allowed this to take place.
