Ex-police chief gets tissue stuck on forehead during corruption inquiry

An inquiry into alleged corruption in South Africa was interrupted after a police chief accidentally got tissue stuck to his forehead.

Julius Mkhwanazi served as deputy chief of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department until he was placed on suspension following recommendations of an internal audit investigation into allegations of misconduct in November 2025.
