Norwegian defender Sondre Solholm says he felt a 'special connection' to supporters during his 16-month spell at Motherwell.
The 27-year-old today signed for Norwegian side Odds BK for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £200,000, having played 47 games since joining in August 2021.
Solholm took to social media to express his gratitude to how fans took to him during his time at the Scottish Premiership club.
He said: "From my first day I felt the love and the special connection from the fans of this amazing club.
"I wish everyone in and around the club all the best.
"I will forever have a special place in my heart for Motherwell.
"So much love from me to all of you. Thank you, au revoir!"
Motherwell are believed to be working on a number of options as they bid to strengthen their squad ahead of the transfer window's closure at midnight tonight.
