East Kilbride are set to snap up ex-Hamilton Accies winger Kyle Munro on a one-year deal after the New Douglas Park club withdrew a contract offer.
The Lowland League club fought off SPFL interest to land the 20-year-old on a free contract, and he has agreed terms to join them for this season.
Lanarkshire Live Sport understands that personal terms have been agreed at K-Park, and that the deal should be confirmed in the next 48 hours.
Munro would follow Jonathan Page, Conor Morgan, Andy Black, Billy Mortimer, Stephen Bronsky, Ronan Hughes, Bob McHugh, Jack Ruddy, Gary Miller and Dylan McDonald at the Lowland League side as East Kilbride continue to make some eye-catching business in the market.
Munro, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Clydebank, managed just 14 appearances in all competitions for Accies last season, netting one goal against Hearts 'B' in the Challenge Cup.
He was part of the Hamilton Under-19’s squad that competed in the UEFA Youth League in 2018, featuring against FC Basel and FC Midtjylland.
A product of Hamilton’s youth academy, Munro was earmarked as one of the next stars to come out of New Douglas Park.
He was handed his debut against Rangers under former Accies manager Brian Rice before securing an unlikely victory away at Livingston on his maiden start with a clinical late winner.
East Kilbride, who came fourth in last season’s Lowland League, got their pre-season off to a winning start on Saturday as they defeated Forth Wanderers 6-0.
