Former New York Giants Super Bowl champion and defensive lineman-turned-analyst, Chris Canty, believes that Giants head coach Brian Daboll is not long for his job.
“He’s toast. He’s done. He’s the biggest loser coming out of last night. I know he lost all of that weight in the offseason, he’s about to lose his damn job in-season,” Canty said on ESPN’s Get Up on Friday.
Canty pointed to Daboll’s decisions during the Giants’ 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday. He was especially critical regarding the Giants going on fourth down — a criticism that others have shared.

Canty believes that Daboll has now cost the Giants two games with his inconsistent decision-making.
“He is giving the Giants’ brass ammunition to move on from him after this season,” Canty said.
Two weeks ago in Washington, Daboll allowed Graham Gano to kick without a backup. After Gano got hurt on the opening kickoff, the Giants were forced to play the game without a kicker. They lost the game by three points.
On Thursday, the Giants ironically only scored field goals as they either couldn’t get into the red zone or execute in the red zone even though they outgunned and held the ball over 10 minutes more than the Cowboys.
“I’m going to say Daniel Jones has a better chance of being back next year than Brian Daboll,” Canty concluded.
Now that is a spicy hot take.
