Ex-gangster Ian “Blink” MacDonald has avoided jail after stealing his partner’s car in “a moment of madness”.

The convicted bank robber admitted driving off in girlfriend Ashley’s Range Rover after a row at McDonald’s, in Bellshill, in May.

The 61-year-old – who later dumped the vehicle in nearby Uddingston – also admitted threatening or abusive behaviour towards the 35-year-old.
