Nine former FBI employees who worked on the classified documents investigation involving Donald Trump are suing FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Todd Blanche, alleging they were unlawfully fired for their roles in the case, according to NBC News. The 70-page lawsuit alleges that the nine employees were fired within days of Patel gaining access to a file containing the names of those who worked on the investigation.
According to the filing, FBI Special Agent Miles Starr requested urgent access to the case file, codenamed ‘Plasmic Echo.’ The request came as Patel was facing criticism from within the Trump administration after videos circulated showing him drinking beer and celebrating with the U.S. men’s Olympic hockey team in Milan.
