Former FBI Director James Comey surrendered to US authorities on Wednesday after being charged over a social media post that prosecutors allege contained a threat against President Donald Trump.
Comey arrived at the US Attorney's Office in Alexandria, Virginia, where he was taken into custody ahead of his court appearance, CNN reported. He faces two charges, including threatening the life of the president and transmitting threats across state lines.
