Former Dundee United boss Ray McKinnon recovering in hospital after suffering heart-attack

RAY MCKINNON is recovering in hospital after suffering a heart-attack last week.

The former Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Queens Park boss was taken for treatment last week, according to an update from Rovers.

McKinnonn who also managed Morton, Falkirk, Brechin City and Lochee United, is said to be recovering in hospital.

Raith Rovers announced McKinnon was in hospital following the health scare "at the back end of last week".

And they sent their best wishes to their former manager in a statement on Twitter.

It read: "Everyone connected with Raith Rovers would like to wish our former Manager, Ray McKinnon a speedy recovery after suffering a heart-attack at the back end of last week.

"We are pleased to hear that Ray is currently recovering in hospital. Best wishes, Ray"

Falkirk added: "Everyone at Falkirk Football Club would like to send our best wishes to former manager Ray McKinnon, who is currently in hospital after a recent illness.

"We wish Ray a speedy recovery!"

And a Dundee United message read: "Everyone connected with Dundee United would like to wish a speedy recovery to our former player and manager Ray McKinnon.

"McKinnon is currently in hospital after a recent illness."
