Ex-Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has completed a transfer move to LA Galaxy.

The Japan forward has signed a five-year deal with the MLS club as he leaves Birmingham City.

Kyogo will take up an international slot on the Galaxy roster.

"We’re excited to welcome Kyōgo to the LA Galaxy and to Los Angeles,” said general manager Will Kuntz.

“He brings a wealth of experience having played matches with Japanese National Team, in the UEFA Champions League, and in some of the best domestic leagues in Europe.

"We’re thrilled to add a player of his calibre, goal-scoring ability, and diverse experience to our group and look forward to the impact he will make on and off the field."

Kyogo makes the move to the US after just one season with Birmingham City.

The striker left Celtic in January 2025 to join Rennes before moving to the English club in the summer.

However, he has now made a third move in quick succession after scoring just three goals in 31 appearances last season.
