The most hotly-anticipated sale of the year is about to begin at Boots, with products being slashed by a huge 70 percent.
The post-Christmas sale is designed to help Boots shift some of its gift sets and other products left over from the festive season. On Boxing Day, some of these dropped in price by 50 percent, but even bigger savings are coming very soon.
On March 1, the sale will start instore and online, with shoppers being able to bag massive savings on thousands of products - ideal if you want to get a head start on this year's Christmas shopping.
And according to a former employee, there are some things you can do in order to get the most out of the huge sale and come away with a great haul.
Manchester Evening News writer Bethany Shufflebotham used to work at the health and beauty for four Christmases in a row, and picked up a wealth of knowledge about the all-important sale.
She says that if you're planning on shopping instore rather than online, it's important to plan ahead. Checking the opening times and getting down early is key, as it's likely to be very busy and packed with fellow bargain-hunters.
Knowing exactly what you want is also really important. Having a clear idea of the products you want to pick up will save you time when looking down the aisles, and it'll also help you cut down on unnecessary overspending.
You can also work out exactly how much you'll be saving if you know what you want to buy beforehand, which will eliminate any nasty surprises when you get to the tills to checkout.
And if you haven't got one already, it could be worth signing up for an Advantage Card. Offering four points for every £1 spent, you can spend the year racking up the points and use them for purchasing any Christmas gifts.
Finally, if you want to shop online rather than instore, a helpful tip is to fill up your basket with the products you want the night before - then, on the morning of the sale, the promotions should all be applied and you can check out with all your bargains.
The sale will see this Fila Livin’ Life set down from £50 to just £15, saving a whopping £35, while this Joules Cosy Night In kit was £35, and will be down to £10.50. The gift contains a bath soak, body souffle, pillow mist, eye mask and a pair of slippers, making for a serious bargain.
Some other brands featured in the sale include Soap & Glory, No7, Bondi Sands, Gilette and many more.
