Australia's wait for another world champion continues with Hawaii's John John Florence and Californian teen Caitlin Simmers taking out the World Surf League Finals.

It was Florence's third world title, snapping a seven-year drought, while 18-year-old Simmers became the youngest female to win the world crown.
