Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, known for their roles in the Star Wars franchise, have a son named Laurie who has a strong affinity for Grogu, also known as Baby Yoda. Laurie's love for Grogu is evident through his extensive collection of Grogu stuffed animals.
Despite McGregor's portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the presence of Obi-Wan dolls in their home, Laurie seems more drawn to his Grogu toys, even referring to the Obi-Wan dolls as 'Daddy.'
During a set visit where Laurie was supposed to meet the real-life Grogu, the encounter did not go as planned. The sight of the creature caused Laurie to become frightened and he reacted by screaming and being visibly upset, much to the surprise of the team on set.
McGregor and Winstead's relationship began in 2017, following their work together on Fargo. McGregor was previously married to Eve Mavrakis, with whom he shares four children, before finalizing their divorce in 2020. Winstead, on the other hand, ended her seven-year marriage with Riley Stearns in 2017.
Despite the initial controversy surrounding their relationship, McGregor and Winstead's bond continued to grow. They welcomed their son, Laurie, in June 2021 and got married in April the following year. The couple is set to reunite on screen in the upcoming series 'A Gentleman in Moscow,' premiering this month on Showtime and Paramount+.
