An evil mum who slowly starved her disabled daughter to death in a room covered in 'maggots and faeces' has been sentenced to nine years and seven months in prison.
Elain Clarke, 49, admitted killing her daughter Debbie Leitchand, who had Down's Syndrome, and was convicted of gross negligent manslaughter.
The 24-year-old died from severe emaciation and neglect after with Clarke "abandoned her to die in pain, without nourishment in the most awful surroundings", judge Amanda Yip said.
