Evidence of first modern humans found in French cave

The discovery of a child’s tooth in a cave in France has revealed the earliest evidence of modern humans living in western Europe.

A team of archaeologists and paleoanthropologists led by Ludovic Slimak of Toulouse University found the tooth in the ‘Grotte Mandrin’ cave, in the Rhone Valley.
